Tape Lab Returns to Twitch with Live DAWless Jams, Studio Tours, and More

Tape Lab is back in the basement and streaming.
Tape Lab has officially returned to Twitch with a new series of live broadcasts featuring DAWless jams, analog synths, studio tours, sample breakdowns, gear tutorials, and the occasional experiment that may or may not go according to plan. Episode 002 is available now, with Episode 003 coming later this September.
We even bought a new CPU, which means we can finally stream and jam at the same time. Technology has graciously agreed to support our commitment to making music the complicated, hands-on way.
Analog Music, Made Live
Tape Lab’s Twitch streams offer an unpolished look inside the studio, where synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, tape decks, and other pieces of analog music gear are put to work in real time.
Some streams will center on live DAWless jams. Others will dig into individual samples, demonstrate a particular piece of equipment, or take viewers behind the scenes for a closer look at the Tape Lab studio. It’s all the synth content you can easily lose an evening to on YouTube—only live, interactive, and coming directly from the basement.
We’re obviously not using AI. You can see exactly how the music is being made, including every cable, knob turn, tape loop, questionable decision, and last-minute correction.
