In a world of noise and “Hacks” (usually spouted by hacks), Dane’s World Podcast is unique: instead of shortcuts, he gives a long view, tips on being an artist instead of tips to become a “Clout Demon” (Dane’s phrase).

Great Dane on Music Production and Creative Process
Did you think that music education was only at Juilliard or piano lessons at the church? Nope - Dane is a full-time music production educator. He wears lots of hats because he is also, obviously, a touring DJ/Producer. Just from the first episode, it shows - Dane is down-to-earth and we are already taking his advice.
One piece of music production advice from the first episode has already stuck with us: Don’t add things to your music that just make it more complicated. It’s easy to keep adding when you’re making beats. Knowing when a track has enough going on is a skill, too.
Great Dane is One of Tape Lab’s Biggest Creative Influences
Great Dane has been a pioneer of electronic music since the mid-2010s and among the most important inspirations for Tape Lab’s creative output. Specifically, Dane’s co-founding work in TeamSupreme remains one of the most impressive acts of creative collaboration that we can note.

Who Is Great Dane? Electronic Music Producer, DJ, and Educator
Dane is a veteran voice of reason - he is also a helluva good producer. His Beats for Days collection alone is evidence: Dane makes beats. Short beats, long beats, hype beats, calm beats. Tape Lab saw Great Dane perform in Durham in 2019 and he BROUGHT IT - even a custom Petey Pablo remix (you know what we mean).
