VHStream live on Twitch

About VHStream

VHStream is Tape Lab’s live analog video experiment: a stream built from multiple real VHS tapes running through a maze of VCRs, adapters, converters, and capture gear before landing on Twitch. It is a complicated, slightly ridiculous setup, and that is exactly the point. The source is real tape, the playback is real hardware, and the texture is the real thing—tracking lines, soft edges, dropouts, warble, and all. No fake VHS filter, no cleaned-up imitation, no digital plug-in pretending to be analog.

VHStream exists because we believe obsolete media still has something to say. By sending live video from actual VHS tapes through a chain of aging machines and modern streaming tools, we preserve the character of analog while pushing it into a new format. It is part archive, part performance, part transmission from another era. We are still analog, and it shows.

If you want, I can also turn this into a more SEO-forward version with keywords like VHS livestream, analog video art, Twitch VHS stream, and live VHS playback baked in.
