Brillman and Tape Lab return to their transatlantic cloud-studio fresh for 2026 with a new Sonic Slurry - Communicate 2 Much. Implied in title, this song is about communication - the lifeblood of Brillman & Tape Lab’s creative corpus. Files beamed across fiber optic networks, ideas downsampled from thoughts into words and words back into sound. The output is ostentatiously alive, almost moody.

After a few previously discarded suggestions/attempts to rejuvenate the Brillman & Tape Lab colLABoration, Brillman suggested a remix of his “Communicate #7” mix, a 10 minute jam of (mostly) typical electronic beats, fairly random Labyrinth lines and a vocal sample (“communicate”).

About a month of correspondence, new jams, retouches and added elements by Tape Lab’s 2yng2smpl, the track transformed into a groovy lament with additional pads from the Access Virus B, surprisingly phat bass from the kingKORG NEO, Moog Sub37 (not surprisingly phat) and just a taste of Kaosillator chaos. Brillman’s Drums sit perfectly above the sound, giving the track air and pluck.

Driving bass ebbs and flows, unbothered to ask for directions. In contrast, the vocoded lyrics present an irony: we talk too much today, but what do we say? By masking lyrics in an (at times) indecipherable synthetic timbre, Communicate 2 Much contributes more talking, but what is it saying?

More concretely, there is an element of gratitude and sincerity. The ability to maintain instant contact across space and time is a tremendous feat

The track’s overall polish is an exhaustive result of Brillman’s mastering prowess. So our 12 track is at last ready. Enjoy!
