PlayStationary One Vol. 3 - QUAID RUNNER

ABOUT THE EP

Quaid Runner (EP)— Tape Lab

Released May 9, 2019

Dennis Quaid Lovers is Tape Lab doing what Tape Lab does best: taking a half-stupid idea, overcommitting to it, and somehow turning it into a groove-heavy little problem for everyone else.

Love you, big dawg Dennis.

This one may not be built from technically pure PlayStation samples, but it lives in the same general Tape Lab zone: warped media references, chopped-up weirdness, underground rhythm, and a commitment to the bit that probably should have been questioned earlier. Too late now.

The centerpiece is “Quaid & See,” featuring one of our most properly reluxed beats — tightened up, polished just enough, but still carrying that strange Tape Lab basement glow. It is Dennis Quaid mayhem with a beat you can actually move to, which is more than most people can say about their Dennis Quaid tribute-adjacent electronic music.

And yes, there is a music video. Do not skip the music video. That would be disrespectful to Dennis, to the beat, and frankly to the entire Quaid-industrial complex.

Dennis Quaid Lovers is strange, funny, rhythmic, and fully on-brand: not exactly PlayStationary, not exactly normal, definitely Tape Lab.
