ABOUT THE EP
Electronic Onion / Bone Dry — Tape Lab
Released March 11, 2019
Electronic Onion / Bone Dry is a compact Tape Lab transmission: strange, layered, dryly funny, and wired with experimental electronic energy. The release plays with contrast from the start, pairing the synthetic and absurdist feel of Electronic Onion with the sharper, stripped-down mood of Bone Dry.
Built around Tape Lab’s instinct for collage, odd textures, and left-field rhythm, the project feels like a small machine revealing too many layers at once. It is playful without being lightweight, weird without trying too hard, and unmistakably rooted in the Tape Lab world of damaged signals, DIY electronics, and ideas that probably should not work but absolutely do.
Short, strange, and fully its own thing, Electronic Onion / Bone Dry captures Tape Lab in experimental miniature: peeling back the layers, drying out the groove, and leaving just enough nonsense to make it feel serious.
