ABOUT THE EP
Voxillate (EP)— Tape Lab
Released: December 13, 2023
(Unreleased, tapelab.live exclusive)
Voxillate is the Tape Lab release that probably should not exist—which, naturally, makes it even better. A strange piece of rediscovered lost media from the archive, the album feels like something you were not supposed to find: loose beats, analog bass, unfinished energy, and enough raw material to invite a second life through remixes.
For fans of lost media music, remix-ready beats, underground tape music, analog synth bass, Moog Sub 37 sounds, cassette culture, and experimental electronic archives, Voxillate is a recovered transmission worth disturbing. Found it? Remix it. Let Tape Lab know.
The collection leans into Tape Lab’s underground tape-beat instincts, with tracks that feel ready to be flipped, stretched, sampled, and rebuilt. These are not overly polished artifacts; they are open-source chaos in spirit, carrying the warmth, grit, and strange charm of cassette culture and analog electronic production.
“Exorsighs” is the beautiful problem child here—a track that may have gotten away from Tape Lab a little bit, but still lands with real personality. That rich Moog Sub 37 bass gives it serious analog weight, grounding the weirdness in a deep, warm, low-end pulse.
