The MEGARCHIVE Has Reached Critical Mass

The Megarchive now has 500 songs, the maximum allowed on SoundCloud - WOW!

MEGARCHIVE TURNS 500

After years of unchecked growth and unregulated chaos, the Tape Lab MEGARCHIVE has finally hit full saturation. That’s 500 tracks deep—no more, no less. We’ve officially capped the playlist. It’s not dead, but it’s done growing.

To keep things functional (and listenable), we’ve split the catalog into three distinct playlists:

🧠 MEGARCHIVE

The original beast. 500 essential tracks, raw and unfiltered. The Tape Lab brain dump—still very much alive, just frozen in time.

🔧 RELUX REWIND

We’ve cracked open the vault and remastered our classics. No longform dumps—just individual tracks, properly split, cleaned up, and ready for streaming.

🆕 RECENCY BIAS

Our latest drops. New beats, fresh experiments, current sounds. If you're looking for what Tape Lab sounds like right now, this is the one.

Same noise, different containers. Dive in where it makes sense—or don’t.

We’ll keep making it either way.

TapeLab

Welcome to #TapeLab—stay a while and listen. Founded in 2017 by lifelong friends, Tape Lab is a collective of artists and a hub for innovation, always open to collaboration. With the zeal of a self-published memoir, our sound is our own, but you can be the decider. We make music and art that sounds like it was fun to make and stands out in a sea of bland beats.

As independent artists, we are always exploring new ways to expand our audience and find new creative outlets—especially with other undiscovered artists!

#TapeLab is currently based out of two headquarters in Durham, NC, and The Hamptons, NY.
