4 GEINOH is a four-track Tape Lab EP inspired by the Akira OST and the groundbreaking work of Geinoh Yamashirogumi, the Japanese music collective led by Tsutomu Ōhashi / Shoji Yamashiro and known for blending traditional folk forms, gamelan-style textures, ritual vocal elements, and electronic sound. Their work on Akira helped define one of the most iconic anime soundtracks ever made. 4 GEINOH takes that influence and pushes it into a more hip-hop-oriented Tape Lab space, with four bass-driven, beat-focused tracks that channel cyberpunk tension, underground tape energy, and experimental sampling into a tight, memorable EP.
Each track in the EP is a unique blend of homage and innovation, featuring a fusion of samples and inspirations from Geinoh Yamashirogumi, reimagined through Tape Lab's visionary lens.
